Takato Joshi Park in Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, is famous for its 1,500 Takato Okohigan cherry trees, an endemic species, and is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan. This year, cherry blossoms are expected to bloom about a week earlier than last year, though full bloom usually occurs during the second week of April.

The festival date will not officially be announced until the flowers start to bloom sometime between early and mid April. We will update the website when it is officially announced. Check last years blooming history down below!<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

April 4th, 2025 (Fri.) Takato Cherry Blossom Festival begins!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ina City declared the first blooming of Takato kohi ganzakura cherry blossom trees to be on April 4th, 2025, one day earlier than in 2024, and almost the same as in a normal year. The “Cherry Blossom Festival” starts on the same day. Full bloom is expected around the 11th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cherry Blossom Festival will be held from the time of blooming until the end of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
